Weekly Psychotherapy for Adults in the Bay Area
In Person & Virtual Psychotherapy
A compassionate, safe, judgment-free space that allows you to fully process the painful memories from the past while regaining your sense of self, or simply have protected time to ground in order to confidently move through your day-to-day life.
What to Expect with Psychotherapy:
Weekly therapy is your dedicated time to pause, reflect, and recalibrate. Each 50-minute session gives you space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface — without judgment or pressure. Our work is collaborative and client-led, meaning you set the pace while I help guide the process with warmth, honesty, and curiosity. Some weeks may feel like unlocking deep patterns, while others might bring simple relief in being heard and held. Over time, these consistent sessions create a strong foundation of self-awareness, emotional tolerance, and self-acceptance that supports growth in every part of your life.
The Benefits of Weekly Therapy:
Consistent therapy builds resilience so you can handle life’s challenges with more ease. Weekly sessions help you notice repeating patterns, develop new language for your experiences, and gain insights that make your relationships and daily life feel lighter and more manageable. With a safe, reflective space each week, you’ll begin to regulate your emotions more easily, feel more present with others, and find clarity in situations that once felt overwhelming.

Psychotherapy FAQs
-
I work with adults and transitional-age youth (18–24) who are ready to invest in their own growth. Many of my clients are first responders, medical professionals, therapists, leaders in tech, or high-achieving women, femmes, and queer or gender non-binary folks navigating stress, burnout, and complex life transitions. My practice is fully affirming and identity-honoring — this is a space where all parts of who you are are welcome.

For Psychotherapy sessions, at the start, yes — weekly sessions are the best way to build momentum and create real change. Consistency helps us establish trust, get beneath the surface faster, and keep the progress going week after week. Once you feel more grounded and the timing feels clinically appropriate, we can shift to bi-weekly or monthly sessions. Think of weekly therapy as laying a strong foundation — once it’s solid, we can build from there at a pace that fits your needs.
For Brainspotting intensives, these are often not weekly and are more flexible with scheduling.

Yes — decades of research show that psychotherapy is one of the most effective ways to create real, lasting change in how you think, feel, and relate to others. But the biggest factor isn’t the specific “type” of therapy — it’s the relationship you build with your therapist. When you feel safe, understood, and supported, that’s when breakthroughs happen.
In my practice, weekly therapy sessions create the consistency needed to uncover patterns, build self-awareness, and develop the tools to move forward. The work we do together is always tailored to your needs — whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, or life transitions. Over time, therapy can help you feel steadier, more connected, and more confident in yourself and your choices.
-
Not at all. While talking is part of it, psychotherapy is really about noticing patterns, practicing new ways of responding, and building emotional strength over time. Some weeks you’ll process big things, and other weeks might feel quieter — but each session adds to the momentum of your growth.

Sometimes therapy stirs things up, especially when you’re touching on emotions you’ve avoided. But the goal is never to overwhelm you — it’s to move at a pace that feels safe and steady. Over time, most people notice that the hard moments lead to breakthroughs and more lasting relief.
-
That’s completely normal. You don’t have to show up with a plan for your sessions — in fact, some of the most powerful insights come from the moments when you aren’t sure what to talk about. Therapy works best when you bring your real self, even if that self feels scattered or stuck.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients come in with a specific goal and find a few months of work to be deeply helpful. Others are navigating more complex patterns or histories and prefer longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress together to make sure therapy continues to feel meaningful and aligned.

Friends can listen and support, but therapy is a different kind of relationship. It’s structured, confidential, and designed to help you go deeper — into patterns, wounds, and possibilities you might not even notice on your own. It’s support without judgment, strings, or expectations.
-
Many of my clients felt stuck in previous therapy. My approach is warm but direct — I don’t just sit back and nod. I’ll gently call out patterns I notice, ask questions that make you think differently, and create a space that feels collaborative and alive instead of repetitive.
-
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and set the tone for how we’ll work together. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to feel or experience differently. You’ll also have space to ask me questions about my style, background, or anything that will help you feel more comfortable. From there, we’ll create a plan that feels manageable and grounded, always at your pace. Most clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief just from having a safe place to exhale and be fully heard.

Like many seasoned professional therapists I don’t work directly with insurance companies. This allows me to keep our work completely confidential and free from the limitations insurance often places on the type or length of treatment.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, with some options for longer sessions or intensives. I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, or late arrivals may be charged the full session fee. If you’re running late, please text me as soon as possible — sessions will still end at the scheduled time. Emergencies are always taken into account, but repeated last-minute cancellations may mean we revisit your readiness for ongoing therapy.

Yes! I'm happy to collaborate with your therapist and have Brainspotting therapy or intensives be a standalone experience for you.
